Sandpipers

My recent fascination with birds stems from their ability to effortlessly cross the boundaries between land, sky, and ocean. Watching sandpipers tip-toe along the surf line is particularly delightful. It’s amusing how birdwatching can sneak up on us as we age; one moment, I'm living my usual life, and the next, I find myself unironically researching sandpiper calls and subspecies.
